How an afternoon at Lumio works
After school, your child settles in at our Northcliff centre with their tutor. Homework is worked through together — the tutor explains anything that's unclear rather than handing over answers — and everything is checked before it goes home. You get a WhatsApp update after every session.
Who it's for
Grade 1–7 learners at both CAPS and IEB schools. Sessions are 1-on-1 or in a small group of no more than 4 learners, so your child always has their tutor's attention.
Times
Homework Support runs in the after-school slot, with Saturday mornings available too.
- Mon–Fri: 14:00–18:00
- Sat: 08:00–13:00
Curriculum alignment.
We work with both CAPS and IEB learners.
Covers all CAPS subjects as needed — tutors are briefed on the learner's current school timetable and upcoming assessments.
IEB homework often has higher volume and more project-based tasks. Our sessions are structured to manage this effectively.

- Yes. Project and assignment structuring is part of Homework Support, alongside daily homework, reading practice and test preparation.
- How will I know how my child is doing?
- You get a WhatsApp update after every session and a written progress report every month.

- Do you work with IEB schools?
